Ahangar also has links with al-Qaeda and other global terrorist groups. He is engaged in activating IS in India. Ahangar has been declared an individual terrorist under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, the home ministry said in a notification. Under this, 48 ​​people have been declared terrorists so far. Ahangar is the 49th person.
Born in Srinagar in 1974, Ahangar has been a wanted terrorist for more than two decades. He has been involved in conspiring with various terrorist organizations to carry out terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir. The Home Ministry said Ahangar was involved in a conspiracy to promote terrorism in the Kashmir Valley. For this, he is identifying people to include in his network present in Kashmir.
Ahangar is the head of the IS recruitment cell.
Ahangar was appointed head of the Islamic State (IS) recruitment cell for India. He was then instrumental in launching an online India-centric ISIS propaganda magazine.
Two officials of insurance company arrested in bribery case
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested the regional manager and another official of New India Assurance’s office in Chandigarh for accepting bribe.
