Saharanpur: On 8 February, the 11th anniversary of the Express News Bharat national TV news channel was celebrated with a grand award ceremony in Saharanpur, where individuals from different fields were honored for their outstanding contributions.
During the program, young journalist Ameena Majid was honored with the Express News Bharat Excellence Award in recognition of her dedication, hard work, and commitment to journalism. The award was presented by the Managing Director of the channel, Dr. Iftkhar Tyagi, and CEO, Dr. Ammar Abdi.
The event was graced by the presence of several eminent personalities. The Chief Guest, former Union Cabinet Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, addressed the gathering and appreciated the role of responsible journalism in society.
The ceremony was also attended by Guest of Honour Ameel Shamsi, State Vice President, BJP Minority Morcha; Hafiz Usman, former State Information Commissioner; Vyom Bindal IPS, SP City; Dr. Sufi Raj Jain, Vice President, Sufi Islamic Board; and Maulana Syed Fasi Haider, Secretary, Shia Personal Law Board.
Among the distinguished guests present were senior NDTV journalist Ali Abbas Naqvi, Maulana Masoof Madani, renowned social worker Muhammad Kaif, journalist and social worker Mushahid Khan, Saeed Ahmed, Chief Editor of Web Varta News Agency, Anurag Saxena, President of Journalist Council of India, and Pankaj Khatwani, Operations Head of Exclusive World Records.
A large number of journalists, social workers, bureaucrats, and political personalities were present, making the event grand and memorable.
