KTR Slams Revanth Reddy Over Telangana’s Financial Image

KTR Urges CM Revanth Reddy Not to Project Telangana as Financially Weak

Hyderabad, July 8 (Mohammed Minhajuddin Reporter): A political exchange continued in Telangana over the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project.

BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) criticized Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for portraying the state’s financial condition negatively, arguing that Telangana achieved major economic progress during the previous BRS government under K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR). He said initiatives such as the Kaleshwaram Project, Mission Kakatiya, TS-iPASS, and Rythu Bandhu contributed significantly to the state’s development.

Responding to these remarks, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy alleged that the Kaleshwaram Project involved massive cost escalation and described it as a failed project. He invited KCR to participate in a special joint session of the Telangana Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council to discuss all aspects of the project. The Chief Minister said the government was prepared for an open debate and asked KCR to communicate with the Speaker to finalize the date.
